Galatasaray Vice President hints at Falcao transfer

The Turkish football giants are closing in on what could be the transfer of the summer: legendary striker Radamel Falcao.

Galatasaray’s search for a new goalscorer is entering its final days as the transfer window is quickly coming to an end. The Istanbul club’s Vice Preisdent Abdurrahim Albayrak shared a cryptic photograph with AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao over the weekend which set off rumours and caused Galatasaray fans to speculate whether the striker will be joining the club in the coming days.

Albayrak travelled to Monaco on Saturday where he met and held talks with Falcao as well as AS Monaco officials regarding a transfer to Galatasaray this summer.

According to reports in Turkey, the Colombian striker is alleged to have agreed to a two-year deal with an optional one-year extension with Galatasaray, who will pay Falcao €5 million in wages annually including additional bonuses based on the player and club’s performances.

However, Galatasaray are reported to be still negotiating with AS Monaco regarding a transfer fee for the striker.
