Turkey U17’s draw with Ireland

The youngsters drew 1-1 with their Irish counterparts in a friendly match.

The U17 Turkey national team was in Ireland for a friendly game against the U17 Ireland national team. The match took place at Eamonn Deacy Park in Galway.

The Turks took the lead inthe 66th minute via a goal from the penalty spot scored by Atakan Gunduz. However, it was not meant to be, as the Irish equalized in injury time through Troy Parott.

The match was in preparation for the UEFA Under 17 European Championship Elite Tour which is set to take place in March of this year.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow for another friendly match.
