Cenk Tosun opens Crystal Palace account

The Turkey international has scored his first goal for his new club, Crystal Palace.

Cenk Tosun has had a good start at his new club, Crystal Palace, as the striker scored his first goal in his second appearance for the London-based club.

On loan from Everton until the end of the season, Tosun opened his account with Crystal Palace on Saturday in the 39th minute against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Despite the game finishing a 2-2 stalemate, Tosun impressed since arriving from Everton, where he endured difficulties in performing for the past two seasons.

Tosun, who has become the first Turkish player ever to play for Crystal Palace, is now the fourth Turkish player to reach 10 ore more Premier League goals, adding his name alongside the likes of Muzzy Izzet (34 goals), Tuncay Sanli (20 goals) and Tugay Kerimogl (10 goals).

In addition to this, Tosun is the second Turkish player ever to score goals for two Premier League clubs.

The first player to do so is former attacking midfielder Tuncay Sanli who has scored for Middlesbrough and Stoke City during his playing days.
