Fernando to return from Portugal

Fernando is expected to arrive in Istanbul from Portugal this weekend.

Galatasaray’s Fernando is on close to coming back to Istanbul after a lengthy injury layoff. The player is expected to arrive from Portugal his weekend, after being sent there for his recovery under the direction of the club’s medical staff.

Prior to leaving for Portugal, the former Man City defensive midfielder was given a 3-week recovery program which focused on strengthening his knee joint.

Once he arrives, he will be further examined and re-assessed by the club’s medical team. He will continue his recovery in Istanbul until he is fully ready to begin training, whichis expected to take a few more weeks.
