Gomis moves into first place after hat-trick

Bafetimbi Gomis continues his fine form for Galatasaray after scoring his first hat-trick of the season.

Gomis, or also referred to as “Golmis” by Cim Bom supporters, scored his first hat-trick of the season tonight as his team defeated Bursaspor 5-0 at Turk Telekom Arena. The French striker was a constant thorn in the home side as Bursaspor’s defense couldn’t cope with his movement off the ball.

In his 22nd match for Galatasaray, the 32-year-old made sure his team walked out of the stadium as winners of the match. By picking the 3 points, Galatasaray have moved into first place in the Turkish Super Lig.

As an added bonus, Gomis leapfrogged Burak Yilmaz and is now the top goalscorer in the league with 20 goals in 27 league matches.
