Konyaspor captain Ali Camdali contract terminated

Konyaspor captain Ali Camdali had his contract terminated by the club today.

Konyaspor have released a statement on their website announcing they have decided to terminate their captain Ali Camdali’s contract today. The board of directors had gathered to discuss the player’s future after numerous disciplinary warnings issued to the player throughout his stay with the club.

The decision comes on the back of Konyaspor’s 3-0 loss against Alanyaspor this weekend. There were reports about fighting among players within the club and Camdali was one of the names mentioned.

The 34-year-old had been with Konyaspor since 2013 and had established himself as the captain over the years. However, his antics and lack of discipline were seen as problematic and not in accordance with the club’s ethics and values.
