Everton considering Oguzhan Ozyakup

Everton are considering offering a contract to Oguzhan Ozyakup

Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup continues to be linked with a move to England as his contract winds down to the final months.

English side Everton are reportedly lining up a move to bring Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup to Goodison Park should they fail to sign Jack Wilshere.

Everton have previously sent scouts to monitor his progress at Vodafone Park, with inquiries sent to Besiktas.

Ozyakup featured just twice under Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, with both appearances coming in the League Cup before he was shipped off to Besiktas for just £400,000 in 2012. But since moving to Besiktas, Ozyakup has established himself as one of the top players in the Turkish Super Lig, helping the Black Eagles claim back-to-back league titles.

Arsenal have been consistently linked with a move to bring their former youth prodigy back to North London, with reports claiming the FA Cup holders have offered him a pre-contract.

Everton were linked with the ex-AZ youth starlet in November 2018, but failed to lure him to England in the winter transfer market.
