Goztepe’s Beto signs contract extension

Portuguese goalkeeper Beto has renewed his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Goztepe until the 2019/20 season.

Goztepe and Beto have reached an agreement over a new contract and the Portuguese goalkeeper will remain with Goztepe until the end of the 2019/20 season. The contract has been extended until May 31, 2020. The official announcement was made on the club’s website.

The 35-year-old signed for Goztepe before the beginning of the Turkish Super Lig campaign from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in order to find more playing time and to try to make the Portugal squad for the up-coming World Cup this summer.

Beto has made 23 league appearances for Goztepe so far and is the club’s main goalkeeper.
