Trabzonspor without Burak Yilmaz for rest of season

Turkish international Burak Yilmaz has been ruled out for final two weeks of the season due to injury.

Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz has traveled to Germany to have surgery for a hernia which means he will not feature in the club’s final two Super Lig games.

Yilmaz has been Trabzonspor’s most consistent goalscorer this campaign and his absence will be felt by the club who have been struggling for goals in his absence.

To make matters worse, he joins 4 other players who are out injured and won’t feature this season again; Onur Kivrak, Kamil Ahmet Corekci, Ugur Demirok and Fabian Castillo.

The 32-year-old is rumoured to be on the move in the summer with Istanbul Basaksehir linked with the striker. Trabzonspor are currently experiencing financial difficulties and newly-elected president Ahmet Agaoglu is expected to have clear-out of the club’s highest earners, including Burak.

Another striker who is experiencing nagging injuries is Hugo Rodallega. The Colombian did not participate in the club’s training today and will not be available for their next fixture which is against Bursaspor.

This leaves Dame N’Doye as the only forward available.
