Daniel Sturridge Linked with move to Besiktas

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has met twice with Besiktas’ president ahead of a possible summer move.

Reports in Turkey claim Besiktas’ second president Ahmet Nur Cebi has sat down with Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge multiple times to discuss a potential move to Istanbul this summer.

Sturridge’s future at Liverpool has looked ominous for some time now, with the striker never fitting under Jurgen Klopp.

The 28-year-old found first-team chances limited this season, appearing just 14 times before being loaned to West Brom in January.

The striker is expected to leave Liverpool this summer as Klopp deems him surplus to the first-team’s needs.

According to Fotomac, the Englishman has twice spoken to Besiktas president with regards to a move to Turkey ahead of the new season.

Hasan Eken, a representative of Sturridge’s agency, also added fuel to the fire, saying: “If the fans want him conditions occurs and Sturridge could play in Turkey.”
