Abel Hernandez rejects Galatasaray contract offer

Hull City forward Abel Hernandez has turned down a contract offer from the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Abel Hernandez, who has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic this summer, has reportedly declined an opening offer from Galatasaray.

The striker’s contract at Hull City reached its expiry date recently, therefore meaning that he is now available to move elsewhere on a free transfer.

Plenty of clubs have expressed an interest in recruiting Hernandez following his departure from the KCOM Stadium and among the interested parties, Celtic are named.

However, it seems Galatasaray were the first to make their move for Hernandez, with Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato claiming that the 27-year-old regards the terms offered by the Turkish giants to be insufficient.

An improved offer could be on the cards in the coming days for the striker, who is a free agent after his contract with Hull City has expired.
