Okay Yokuslu’s Celta Vigo contract details revealed

The Turkish international’s contract details have been revealed after his recent move to the La Liga club.

Celta Vigo’s newest signing, Turkish midfielder Okay Yokuslu, will earn less than he did with his former club Trabzonspor.

The 24-year-old has taken a pay cut to join the Spanish side. The La Liga club will pay him an annual salary of €867,000 per year compared to his former employer, Trabzonspor, where he was earning €1,350,000 per year. The figures are before tax therefore he will be earning even less as Turkey’s tax rate for football players is just 15%.

He will not be paid any performance or appearance bonuses such as an appearance fee, either.

The most interesting detail, however, has been the inclusion of a €24 million release clause, which would net the Spaniards a healthy profit if they were to sell him in the future.
