Galatasaray winger Oztekin could move to rivals Besiktas

Yasin Oztekin’s contract ends this month and it’s uncertain whether he will stay with the team.

Galatasary winger Yasin Oztekin’s contract expires in 10 days and he is yet to sign a new deal with the Lions.

The 31-year-old player spoke to reporters about his situation after reports linked him with a move to city rivals Besiktas.

“There is nothing clear at the moment but my manager has been negotiating. We haven’t reached an agreement yet. My first choice is always Galatsaray. I’ve been here for four important achievements. I want to stay with Galatasaray. If not, we will look at other options,” he explained.

He did not deny the news about having talks with the Black Eagles and said he is open to a move.

“Yes, the news about Besiktas is true, there have been talks. There have been mutual negotiations. If it’s meant to be, it will be.”

Yasin moved to Galatasaray from Kayseri Erciyesspor for €2.5 million in August 2014 and has gone on to be an established first team player.

Last season, he appeared in 21 games, scoring 2 goals and assisting one.
