Besiktas president: We don’t want to sell them but..

The club’s president Fikret Orman clarified his club’s intentions in the transfer window this summer.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman said he is does not intend to sell defender Vida and winger Babel this summer.

The Black Eagles are currently in Slovakia for their pre-season training camp and Orman was present as he watched his team on the sidelines.

He took questions from members of the press and had some interesting things to say regarding the two players.

“They are players I like a lot. Cenk, Marcelo and Ersan were also players I liked a lot and didn’t want to sell them. However, the conditions made us do so. We do not intend to sell Babel or Vida at the moment. However, like Cenk Tosun and Marcelo, if a good offer comes in and they want to leave, we will,” he explained regarding the two players.

Several Besiktas players are expected to leave during the summer transfer window as the club seeks to reduce their wages and bring in younger players to rejuvenate an aging squad.
