Hosseini transfer stalls due to passport issue

Iranian defender Majid Hosseini’s transfer to Trabzon has hit a snag.

Trabzonspor are on the verge of signing Iranian defender Majid Hosseini. The player was expected to arrive in Trabzon today but his arrival has been postponed due to a passport issue in his country.

Club president Hayrettin Hacisalihoglu explained the issue today.

“Whenever the issue is resolved, that’s when he will arrive. There is no issue between our club and the player, we’ve agreed terms.”

The 22-year-old played for Iran in the World Cup where he impressed enough to convince the Turkish club to make a move for him. The Super Lig side have reached an agreement with Iranian club Esteghlal for his transfer, which is set to be completed in the coming days.
