Alanyaspor boss: Emre Akbaba wants to leave

The in-demand midfielder is all but certain to leave Alanyaspor this summer.

Alanyaspor’s manager Mesut Bakkal gave an update on Emre Akbaba’s transfer situation. The attacking midfielder has told the resort town club’s management that he wants to leave.

“Emre wants to leave. He’s going to leave. The door is open for him,” Bakkal explained.

The 25-year-old has been regularly linked with Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas since the end of the 2017/2018 season.

The French-born Turkish international has an eye for goal, scoring over 20 goals in 65 appearances for Alanyaspor.

The player is held in high-regard in Turkey, especially given his ability to score goals as a midfielder.
