Liverpool to meet with Besiktas over Vida

Liverpool closing in on Besiktas defender Vida

The Croatian defender is wanted by Jurgen Klopp, who has asked for the player to be signed this summer.

Liverpool are expected to send officials to Istanbul to discuss a move for Everton and West Ham target Domagoj Vida, according to reports in Turkey.

The Croatian international, who impressed in Russia at the World Cup this summer, has attracted interest from Everton, Liverpool and most recently West Ham United.

Besiktas are hoping to sell the defender for big money with interest mounting in his services after his impressive performances at the World Cup.

Liverpool have already reportedly failed with two bids for the player, with the latest believed to be in the region of £20 million.

West Ham are also believed to have had a bid rejected for the player.
