Basaksehir forward Tunay Torun joins Bursaspor on loan

The German-born Tunay Torun forward has moved to the Green Crocodiles for more game time.

Istanbul Basaksehir have sent their forward Tunay Torun to Bursaspor for a season-long loan.

The 28-year-old forward, who is capable of playing on either wing as well as a striker, will spend the 2018/2019 season with Bursaspor.

The transfer was confirmed by both clubs via their social media accounts.

Bursaspor have managed to snag the loan without a transfer fee but will pay the player an annual salary of €700,000.

He completed his first training session with his new teammates and said he was looking forward to his time with the club.

Tunay, a native of Germany, came through the ranks of Bundesliga outfit Hamburger SV before leaving for the Turkish super Lig in January 2014, signing for Kasimpasa. Three years later, in the summer of 2017, he joined Istanbul Basaksehir but struggled to find regular playing time.
