Fenerbahce snap up Diego Reyes on free transfer

The Mexican defender is the club’s latest signing.

Fenerbahce have agreed terms with Mexican international Diego Reyes, who was a free agent after being released by Portuguese giants FC Porto in the beginning of July this summer.

The 25-year-old arrived in Istanbul late Friday evening and is set to undergo a medical before inking his new contract. The financial details will be revealed shortly.

Reyes, in addition to FC Porto, has played for Spanish clubs Espanyol, Real Sociedad and Mexican side CF America.

He is a key player for the Mexican national team, having made 55 international appearances for his country.
