Loris Karius exposed for “flirty” messages to Turkish divas

Loris Karius exposed for sending flirty messages to Turkish women

The Black Eagles goalkeeper has adapted quite quickly to life in Turkey it seems.

German goalkeeper Loris Karius, who transferred to Istanbul-based football giants Besiktas from Liverpool FC, has raised some eyebrows after several Turkish women claimed they received “flirty” messages on social media from the famous shot-stopper.

Karius’ physical appearance was likened to Turkish TV series superstar Kivanc Tatlitug, with hundreds of Turkish woman rejoicing the “handsome” footballer’s transfer to Turkey on social media.

Positive reactions started to sour this week when Karius sent direct messages from his social media accounts to a series of Turkish women, including some Instagram stars.

Melis Ayca Degirmencioglu exposed Karius’ message, saying hello and asking her how she was doing, even though they had not met before.

Merve Taskin, another Instagram star, said she had also received an in-app message from Karius, which led to a dinner in Istanbul with the 25-year-old goalkeeper.

“Taskin and Karius continued the night at a hotel,” Turkish football tabloids said on September 7.

Karius’ first game with a Besiktas jersey ended 1-1 on September 2 when the Black Eagles had failed to win in Bursa.
