Garry Rodrigues made Champions League history for the club

The pacey winger scored Galatasaray’s fastest Champions League goal at home.

Garry Rodrigues capped his impressive performance against Lokomotiv Moscow on Tuesday evening with a record-breaking goal.

He found the back of the net at 8 minutes and 40 seconds, giving Galatasaray the lead and going down in the club’s history as having scored the fastest goal at home in the Champions League.

The previous record (8 minutes and 59 seconds) was held by former midfielder Felipe Melo, with his goal against FC Copenhagen on October 23, 2013.

The Lions will be hoping to build on their 3-0 victory against the Russian outfit.
