Galatasaray prepare bid for Shinji Okazaki

The Lions are considering making a move for Leicester City’s Japanese star.

Galatasaray are in dire need of a striker and have made signing one in January a top priority. The latest name the club are considering is Japanese international Shinji Okazaki.

The 32-year-old, currently playing for Premier League outfit Leicester City, is out of a contract at the end of the current season and according to press reports, the experienced forward will not be offered a new deal by the English club.

Galatasaray are hoping to convince Shinji to make the move to Istanbul in January with a transfer fee of £1.75 million on the cards.

The Super Lig champions are said to have asked their Japanese full-back Yuto Nagatomo to act as a mediator in the process.

Okazaki has made just 4 appearances for Leiceser City so far this season.

Overall, he has made 118 appearances for his club, scored 19 goals and made 7 assists.
