Fenerbahce president in UK searching for coach

Fenerbahce president Koc in England to meet with coach

Ali Koc is currently in England looking for an experienced manager to take over the first team as soon as possible.

Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has traveled to England and is conducting meetings with potential coaches that can take over the dugout.

The Super Lig giants have offered Turkish coach Ersun Yanal a six-month deal to take charge of the team until the end of season, however, the experienced coach has been pushing for a one-and-a-half year deal, which the club are hesitant to offer.

Koc, having fired previous manager Phillip Cocu after just four months on the job, is under pressure to deliver results as Fenerbahce are just a point away from the relegation zone and need to turn things around if they are to survive this season.

It’s no secret, Ali Koc is a fan of Arsene Wenger, who is currently unemployed after leaving Arsenal but there is no indication that the Frenchman would be willing to work in Turkey at this time.

Koc and his team have been tight-lipped about the coaches they have met with in England but has told reporters in Turkey that an announcement will be made in the coming days.
