Man City defender Mangala wanted by G.Saray

The Lions are preparing to make an offer for Man City defender Eliaquim Mangala.

Galatasaray have added defender Eliaquim Mangala to their shortlist of players they will try to sign next month.

Fatih Terim has requested the player’s services and club president Mustafa Cengiz has given his approval. According to reports in Turkey, Cengiz will travel to England in the coming days to begin negotiations with the English Premier League champions.

The 27-year-old has been a bit-part player in Manchester since arriving in the summer of 2014. He is in the final six months of his deal which means he is permitted to talk to clubs abroad.

This isn’t the first time the French player has been linked with a move to the Super Lig. This past summer, Fenerbahce made inquires about the player’s availability but no transfer took place.

However, the situation is quite different now and he is almost certain to leave Man City as he seeks more regular playing time, something which Galatasaray would be able to offer.
