Fenerbahce announce Ersun Yanal as manager

The Yellow Canaries have found the man to fill the managerial role at Ulker Stadium; Ersun Yanal.

Fenerbahce have hired Ersun Yanal as their new manager, the club announced on Friday.

The experienced Turkish coach is returning to familiar grounds as this will be his second stint as the club’s manager.

He guided the Super Lig giants to the league title during the 2013/2014 season but was removed from duties the following season due to a falling out with former club president Aziz Yildirim.

Yanal has penned a one-and-a-half year deal, according to the club. His salary is reported to be €2 million per season.

The contract includes bonuses for achieving certain objectives such as qualifying for Europe.

Fenerbahce are currently in 17th place with 14 points and desperately need to turn things around if they are to remain in Turkey’s top flight.
