Galatasaray Mariano in talks with Flamengo

The Brazilian right-back is on the wishlist of Flamengo, according to reports.

Galatasaray full-back Mariano could be on the move next month. According to reports from Brazil, the 32-year-old has agreed to join Flamengo if the two clubs can come to terms over a transfer.

The Brazilian press are claiming the player has accepted the terms offered to him by Flamengo but the two clubs are yet to reach a deal. Given that the Turkish club are in desperate need of funds, they could be forced to make the sale.

Flamengo are reported to be have been in contact with Mariano for quite some time as he fits their budget and tactical setup.

Mariano arrived at Galatasaray in 2017 for €4.25 million from Sevilla. He is currently earning €2.3 million per season.

So far this season, he has made 17 appearances during which he has assisted two goals.
