Trabzonspor’s Onazi suffers torn Achilles tendon

The Black Sea Storm will be without one of their key players, Ogenyi Onazi, for the rest of the season after the Nigerian tore his Achilles tendon against Rizespor on the weekend.
Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has been ruled out for the rest of the season after he suffered a torn Achilles tendon during his team’s Super Lig clash with Caykur Rizespor on the weekend.
The 26-year-old was flown to Istanbul where went under the knife. According to the club’s medical officer, Yasar Kibar Guven, the surgery was successful.
Club president Ahmet Agaoglu paid the talented midfielder a visit at the hospital, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Unfortunately for Trabzonspor fans, the player’s injury adds to their woes as he joins teammates Jose Sosa and Zargo Toure on the injured list, who are also out for weeks due to injuries.
Onazi made 16 appearances for Trabzonspor this season, scoring twice and making 1 assist.
