Malatyaspor in talks with Michal Pazdan

The Super Lig club are close to pulling off their first transfers of the new year.

Malatyaspor are in advanced talks with Polish defender Michal Pazdan, who currently plays for Poligh outfit Legia Warsaw, according to reports.

The Turkish club are reported to have agreed terms “in principle” with the 31-year-old centre-back, who is in the final 6-months of his contract.

If the two clubs can come to an agreement, the player is expected to join his new teammates in the first week of January at their training camp in Antalya.

Malatyaspor’s sporting director Ali Ravci spoke to reporters, explaining that the club have been working on their signing their transfer targets for a while.

“There were names we identified and have come to a certain stage with some of them. We started working on the transfers as the season was progressing. Our goal is to bring these players to our training camp as soon as we can. We are planning to sign at least 3 players but we could get 4 or even 5. Transfers during the middle of the season are difficult but we are trying our best,” Ravci explained.

Malatyaspor have been one of the leagues’s surprise packages so far. Having been promoted from Turkey’s second division last season, 1.Lig, the ambitious side are currently in 3rd place with 29 points.
