Ankaragucu sack manager Bektas

The Super Lig side have parted ways with Bayram Bektas and have quickly found his replacement.

Ankaragucu have terminated the contract of first team manager Bayram Bektas on Monday.

The club’s president, Mehmet Yiginer, confirmed to the departure to Turkish media.

Bektas and the club’s administration had a meeting on Monday morning in Ankara at the club’s Bestepe facilities after which his contract was terminated. The reason for the termination is reported to be due to a disagreement between the coach and the club’s management.

“We’ve terminated coach Bayram’s contract by mutual consent. We have appointed Mustafa Kaplan to the role, who was previously the head of the player monitoring team. He has started to work with the aim of bringing young talent to our club,” the statement released by the club read.

Ankaragucu are currently 17th in the Super Lig with 20 points.
