Galatasaray re-sign defender Semih Kaya

The Lions have been re-united with their former defender Semih Kaya until the end of the season.

Galatasaray have loaned Turkish defender Semih Kaya from Sparta Praga until the end of the current season.

Kaya is in Istanbul and has already passed the necessary medical in order to complete the move.

The experienced defender will fill the role of Ozan Kabak who left for VfB Stuttgart for €11 million earlier this week.

The Lions will not pay a loan fee for the player but they will cover his wages for the rest of the season, which are estimated to be €700,000 for half a season. Upon completion of the loan, the player will return to his parent club unless the two clubs agree to a permanent transfer deal.

The Super Lig club had sold the 27-year-old to Czech powerhouse Sparta Praga for €2 million in July 2017.
