Fenerbahce complete Victor Moses loan

The Yellow Canaries have signed Nigerian international Victor Moses on a 1.5-year deal from Chelsea.

Fenerbahce have finalized the loan of midfielder Victor Moses from Chelsea, the Turkish club confirmed on Friday.

The Nigeria international has moved to the Istanbul club on a one-and-a-half year loan.

The 28-year-old has chosen to wear the number 8 but said there’s “no special reason” for his preference.

“I think it’s a lucky number but there’s no special reason. I just chose the number 8 and I can’t wait to put it on for my first match. I hope it will bring me and the club luck,” he explained.

He revealed he spoke to current Fenerbehce defender Martin Skrtel and former striker Emenike before making the decision to sign for the club.

“I asked for information from some of the players I played with before. Everyone said positive things. They said great things about the club and the country. And so I couldn’t wait to come here. I spoke with Martin Skrtel. I played with him at Liverpool when I was on loan there. He told me how big this club is, how big the support is for the club and the passion of the supporters. He explained how everyone here loves football. I also spoke with Emenike. He also told me that I would be very happy here and that I should go,” Moses said.

The experienced midfielder posed for photos and after signing his contract went on a tour of the club’s facilities including going for a run on the training field.
