Fulham forward Aboubakar Kamara joins Malatyaspor on loan

French forward Aboubakar Kamara has signed for the Super Lig club until the end of the season.

Malatyaspor have reached terms with Fulham FC for their powerful forward Aboubakar Kamara.

The 23-year-old arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday evening at 11:00PM local time and was met by a large group of fans as he made his way through Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The Turkish club’s president Ali Gevrek spent several days in London working on the deal to bring the player to Turkey.

He passed a medical in Istanbul on Thursday morning before signing his contract in a press conference alongside the club’s president and several other club officials. He has been assigned the number 17.

Gevrek revealed the club have an option to sign the player on a permanent deal for €15 million.

The transfer is a short-term loan until the end of the season.

Alongside Kamara was another new signing the club presented today, Seref Can Buyuk. The 19-year-old has been transferred from French side La Havre and signed a one-and-a-half year deal with the Turkish club.
