Guilherme transfer to Besiktas falls apart

The Brazilian’s proposed transfer to Besiktas will not take place, according to the player’s agent.

Turkish football giants Besiktas’ financial woes continue with the latest matter making things even more difficult for the already heavily in debt club.

Their hopes of signing Brazilian attacking midfielder Guilherme have collapsed as of Thursday.

According to the player’s representative, Marcelo Robalinho, the 28-year-old will remain with Yeni Malatyaspor until the end of the season.

After days of reports surrounding the player’s imminent transfer to Besiktas, the deal is officially dead.

Robalinho claims Guilherme and Besiktas have failed to agree on the terms of the contract.

In addition to this, Besiktas have been hit hard by the recently announced spending limits by the Turkish Football Federation as the country’s football governing body aims to keep the club league’s clubs from overspending.

The Brazilian player’s agent says his client will finish the season as a Yeni Malatyaspor player.

Guilherme is currently on loan with the Turkish club from Italian side Benevento. He joined the Super Lig club in August 2018.
