Hertha Berlin Vladimir Darida transfer to Fenerbahce blocked

The Czech Republic midfielder revealed the Super Lig club’s approach for him was turned down by Hertha Berlin.

Hertha Berlin’s central midfielder Vladimir Darida could have been a player for Fenerbahce, according to the player himself.

The 28-year-old revealed in an interview with iSport that the Yellow Canaries enquired about his availability in January but his current team, Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin were not interested in selling.

“I found out about their offer from my manager. Fenerbahce had a big interest but my club did not want to let me go. Hertha notified Fenerbahce that they are not willing to sell me and so the matter was close,” he explained.

The Czech Republic international, whose deal with the German club runs until 2021, has made 12 appearances for his team this season so far.
