The Socceroos international has moved to Istanbul where he will continue his professional career.

Australian left-back Aziz Behich has joined Turkish Super Lig outfit Istanbul Basaksehir from PSV Eindhoven, his new club confirmed on Friday on their official website.

The 28-year-old left Turkey’s Bursaspor on the last day of the summer transfer window in 2018 to join the Dutch giants for €1.5 million but struggled to break into the first team, making just 4 appearances for the Eredivisie club.

According to the statement released by Basaksehir, Behich has inked a three-year deal with the Turkish club, who narrowly missed out on their first ever domestic title this season.

“Our club has signed a three-year contract with PSV Eindhoven’s defensive player Aziz Behich. We welcome Aziz Behich and wish him success in the orange-blue uniform,” the statement read.

The Melbourne-born player was also linked with a move to Besiktas in recent times but Istanbul Basaksehir have beaten them to the player’s signature.
