Roma turn down €28m bid for Cengiz Under

The Turkish international is expected to sell for a high figure this summer with strong interest from English teams.

Italian outfit AS Roma have rejected a transfer bid from English club Everton for their promising winger Cengiz Under, according to reports in Italy.

Everton have put forth a transfer offer to the tune of €28 million for the Turkish international but Roma have responded negatively to their proposal.

Interest in Under is strong with English clubs Tottenham and Arsenal reported to be tracking the talented youngster.

The 21-year-old had a solid season with the Italian club, scoring 6 goals and making 13 assists in 33 appearances.

Everton have another Turkish international on their books, Cenk Tosun, but the Germany-born striker has failed to live up to expectations after his big money move from Besiktas over a year ago.
