Denizlispor allocate €10 million for transfers

The newly promoted team will spend big this summer in order to remain in the Turkish top flight.

One of Super Lig’s newest teams, Denizlispor, have set aside a massive, by Turkish football standards, €10 million for transfers this summer.

Club president Ali Cetin spoke to reports during a press conference held at the club’s facilities where he confirmed the figure as well as make the club’s transfer plans public.

“Our goal is to finish in the top five. We will make transfers in line with this goal. By doing so, we will not put our team in serious debt. As an administration, we will keep our word. We want to excite the fans with the addition of one star player,” Cetin said.

The club’s president confirmed the €10 million transfer budget as well as their intense transfer work in the past 15 days.

“We will bring a name that will excite our city. There will be “flash” player transfers. We ask for more patience from our community,” he added.

He also revealed the club is in contract negotiations with midfielder Ismail Aissati, goalkeeper Stackhowiak and several other squad players.

Reports in Turkey have linked Trabzonspor forward Hugo Rodallega with a shock move to the newly promoted team.
Denizlispor president Cetin said he cannot make any comments regarding the transfer at this point in time.
