Galatasaray in talks to loan Porto’s Aboubakar

Galatasaray want to loan striker Aboubakar

The Lions are in talks with the Portuguese powerhouse regarding their striker Vincent Aboubakar.

Galatasaray want to bring Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar back to the Super Lig.

According to reports in Turkey, the Turkish champions are negotiating a deal with Porto that would allow them to loan the 27-year-old for at least one season.

Former Galatasaray full-back Alex Telles is currently plying his trade at Porto but is rumoured to be on the verge of a transfer this summer for a deal worth roughly €40 million.

Due to an agreement between the two clubs from the time of the transfer of Telles from Galatasaray to Porto, the Istanbul club are entitled to 10% of any future transfer.

The Lions are hoping to put the approximately €4 million fee they will receive towards the loan of Aboubakar, who is reported to be open to a move back to Turkey.

Aboubakar has been offered a salary of €3 million for season by Galatasaray while Porto are reported to have agreed to a option-to-buy clause of €15 million.

While a deal is yet to be announced, club officials have confirmed their interest in signing Vincent Aboubakar.
