Fenerbahce to sign at least 3 more players

The Yellow Canaries have not finished their transfer business for the summer.

Turkish football giants Fenerbahce will add at least three more players to their squad before the transfer window closes, according to the club’s president Ali Koc.

Speaking at the club’s general assembly on Saturday, Koc revealed the club’s intentions to sign a defender, a midfielder and a striker.

“We will have new transfers. Until now, we have made seven transfers in the right direction. We will sign one or two defenders, a number six and one forward. But we cannot get the money necessary due to the situation we are in,” the wealthy businessman explained.

Koc also praised the club’s newest transfers, winger Garry Rodrigues and forward Vedat Muriqi. The Istanbul club have strengthened their squad with seven new players so far as they hope to put last season’s terrible performance behind them and bounce back with a strong start next month.

“Vedar Muriqi’s transfer is a great success. Garry Rodrigues’ arrival is a great success.

The club’s president also reflected on their former midfielder Eljif Elmas who transferred to Napoli for an initial €16 million.

Koc praised Elmas for his dedication and performances while at the club and said he believes he will succeed in at his new club.
