Denizlispor sign former Crystal Palace winger Bakary Sako

The Roosters have added another experienced player to their squad as they hope to avoid relegation next season.

Turkish Super Lig newcomers Denizlispor, known as The Roosters, have announced the signing of Mali international Bakary Sako.

The 31-year-old has joined the Turkish club on a one-year deal.

Denizlispor announced the transfer via their official social media accounts with a 49-second clip, welcoming their new player.

The club’s president, Ali Cetin, revealed the player arrived on a free transfer, meaning Denizlispor did not pay Crystal Palace a transfer fee.

Cetin also said the club plans to sign players to strengthen their forward and wing positions.

“We have a deficiency in the forward and winger areas. We will make transfers in those positions. They will be players from abroad.”

Sako spent last season with English club Crystal Palace.
