Fenerbahce to sign Deniz Turuc from Kayserispor

The Yellow Canaries have struck a deal with Kayserispor for the transfer of the Turkish midfielder.

Fenerbahce have announced they have negotiated successfully with Kayserispor for the transfer of midfielder Deniz Turuc.

The Istanbul club released a statement confirming the deal on their official website on Friday.

“Our club has reached an agreement with Kayserispor for the transfer of Deniz Turuc. After the player passes his medical exam and the talks with him are finalized, the transfer will be completed,” the statement read.

Fenerbahce will pay Kayseirspor €3.5 million for Turuc, who has agreed to a three-year contract with the Istanbul club.

The 26-year-old began his professional career in the Netherlands with Go Ahead Eagles before moving to Turkey’s Kayserispor where he has spent the last four seasons.

He leaves Kayserispor having made 122 league appearances during which he scored 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce are on the verge of completing another transfer this summer; full-back Alexander Kolarov from AS Roma. The Serbian has been widely reported to be on his way to Fenerbahce since the transfer window opened.

Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has successfully negotiated a deal with AS Roma and Kolarov”s transfer is expected to be announced within the next few days.
