Konyaspor place transfer bid for winger

Konyaspor place transfer bid for winger Jody Lukoki

The Anatolian Eagle plan to add at least two more players to their squad before the January transfer window closes.

Super Lig outfit Konyaspor are in the market for at least two players one of which is a winger, according to the club’s vice president Selcuk Aksoy.

The central Turkey-based football club are currently sitting in 15th place — just one point above the relegation zone.

During a press conference on Wednesday in Konya, Aksoy spoke to reporters about the club’s transfer plans with regards to their objective of avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

“We will make at least two more transfers. For a total of three,” he said.

He went on to explain that they will not make too many signings in order to avoid unsettling the team.

“I think too many transfers in the middle of the season will not help with the settling of the team. Let’s not think negatively. Negativity brings us to this point. I hope we will not be defeated by Ankaragucu. We will go out there for a win. ”

Aksoy revealed the club are in the market for a left winger and have made an offer for their top priority this month.

“We need a wing player. We have already found him; Jody Lukoki. He is our top priority on our shortlist. We have made our offer.

Konyaspor are also in talks with other players, according to Aksoy.

“There has not been a response from the club so far. We are in talks with other alternatives. We are trying to make the transfers according to the report of the technical staff and with the foreigner limit and financial budget in mind,” Aksoy explained.
