Galatasaray to end Emre Mor loan early

The Lions have decided to send Turkish winger Emre Mor back to his parent club Celta Vigo after the winger failed to integrate into the team.

Galatasaray’s ties with Emre Mor are about to end after the young winger failed to impress since his arrival from Celta Vigo in the summer.

The 22-year-old was once touted as a future star due to his technical ability ever since bursting on to the scene in 2015 as a pacey attacking winger with an affinity to dribble with the ball.

Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund forked over €10 million in 2016 to sign him from Denmark’s FC Nordsjaelland but the player barely lasted a season before being shipped off to Celta Vigo for €13 million — the Spanish club’s second most expensive signing of all time.

Despite his technical ability, Mor has been criticized by his former clubs as lacking the discipline and commitment expected of a professional football player.

Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim is reported have instructed the club’s management to end Mor’s loan early and send him back to the Spanish club after the player failed to make an impact.

Mor made a total of 10 league appearances for The Lions, 8 of which were as a substitute coming off the bench.

He was unable to score a goal nor make an assist during his limited playing time with the Turkish football club.
