Trabzonspor sign Turkish-Dutch winger on free transfer

The former Feyenoord winger has joined The Black Sea Storm after being released by his previous club, Kayserispor, in December.

Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor announced the signing of winger Bilal Basacikoglu on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract with Trabzonspor.

He had been a free agent since being released by his previous club, Kayserispor, in December 2019.

According to the information released by the club on Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Basacikoglu will receive a salary of 162,500 Turkish Lira (TL) for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

If the club exercises the option to keep the player beyond the end of the season, the player’s salary will be as follows;

For the 2020/2021 season; 2,750,000 TL
For the 2021/222 season; 2,000,000 TL

Speaking to reporters during the signing ceremony held at the club’s facilities on Tuesday, Club Secretary Omer Sagiroglu said he hopes the player’s transfer will be a success and that he will contribute to the team.

Basacikoglu, who has been assigned the number 45, said he was very happy to sign for the club and is thankful for the opportunity.

“I thank everyone for giving me this chance. I hope it will be the best for both, me and the Trabzonspor community,” Basacikoglu said.
