Brazilian striker Vagner Love moves to Besiktas

Brazilian international Vagner Love completes his move to Besiktas from Alanyaspor.

Alanyaspor’s top goalscorer this season, Vagner Love, has completed a transfer to Turkish giants Besiktas for a reported €3.7m deal. The player has been given a 1.5-year contract with an optional extension of one year if he were to appear 25 times for the Eagles.

The player’s wages will be €2.5m which will be spread out over the duration of the contract.

Love had been a top transfer target for the Eagles since Cenk Tosun, their top scorer this season, had moved to Everton.

Vagner Love has stated his desire to play Champions League football as one of the reasons for making the move.

The 33-year-old has played for the Brazilian national team a total of 20 times, scoring 4 goals.
