Love: I wanted to go back to Brazil

Brazil Vagner Love

Vagner Love spoke of his plans to move back to Brazil until Besiktas showed serious interest.

Besiktas striker Vagner Love, who completed his move last month from Alanyaspor, spoke to Brazilian press of his desire to move back to Brazil until the Black Eagles stepped up their interest and made an offer to sign him.

“Flamengo didn’t make an offer to sign me. If there was an offer like that from Brazil I was definitely going to move back. They weren’t able to pay a transfer fee to Alanyaspor for me. However, Besiktas wanted me and paid Alanyaspor the fee they were looking for. I also wanted to play for a big club in the Champions League so it was a good transfer for me. The team, Adriano, Talisca, Pepe, Quaresma all welcomed me very well.”, the Brazilian striker said.

He continued about his future; “Palmeiras, Flamengo and Corinthians always tell me that they will be happy to have me in their team if I return to Brazil one day. So, if I go back, it will be one of those teams I would sign for.”

Vagner Love moved to Besiktas in January for approximately €3.7 million where he signed a 1.5-year-deal.
