Besiktas defender Pepe out for one month

Besiktas have received some bad news today as they found out their key defender Pepe will be out for at least a month with a foot injury.

Besiktas central defender Pepe has suffered a fracture in his right foot’s toe after the player had a scan due to complaints of pain following the heated clash against Fenerbahce a few days ago.

The club’s medical staff have estimated the recovery period will take a month, which means Besiktas are left with Vida and Tosic as the players to cover the central defender.

The Portuguese international has been a solid rock in the Black Eagles defense this season and has made 24 appearances for his club.
