Besiktas considering a move for Vincent Janssen

Tottenham’s forgotten striker Vincent Janssen could be on his way to Besiktas.

Fotospor are reporting that Besiktas are ready to meet the north London club’s £10million asking price. Dutch international Vincent Janssen is currently in Turkey on loan at Fenerbahce – and has not had much luck.

The 23-year-old suffered a broken ankle in December and has struggled for fitness since. This week he shared an Instagram post telling Turkish football fans: “On the way back.”

Janssen has scored twice in 11 appearances – a vast improvement on his contribution at Spurs.

Besiktas are yet to find a replacement for Cenk Tosun, who joined Everton last January.

They believe the Tottenham forward is the type of player they hope to sign in the summer and are monitoring Janssen’s situation closely.

Janssen might not have scored a lot of goals for Spurs but fans recognized that he always gave it his all.
