Malatyaspor’s debt revealed

Super Lig side Malatyaspor have announced their debt to the public.

Turkish Super Lig minnows Malatyaspor have a debt of 20 million Turkish Lira (TL), it has been revealed.

The club do not owe any back-taxes or any other form of debt however the amount is caused due to the Turkisha Lira to Euro exchange rate difference when they sign foreign players from abroad.

Their debt level is one of the lowest in Turkey’s top flight where a lot of clubs struggle financially due to the weak Turkish Lira exchange.

The small club finished 10th in the 2017/18 Turkish Super Lig season in their first season back in the Super Lig proving predictions wrong that they would be relegated.
