Besiktas want Everton's Klaassen on loan

English press claim Besiktas are hoping to sign Davy Klaassen on a loan deal.

Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas want to sign Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen on a loan deal, for financial reasons.

The Black Eagles have done business with Everton before, selling them Cenk Tosun for a record €27 million in January 2018.

Klaassen, a Dutch international, swapped Ajax for Everton last summer but has failed to live up to expectations and only made seven appearances in the Premier League.

The player himself said last month that he was hoping to fight for his place under new manager Marco Silva next season but if Everton deems the 25-year-old surplus to requirements then a move to Turkey could be on the cards.

Reports in Turkey earlier this week claimed that Besiktas were interested in signing Davy, and now Sky Sports are also reporting this. The Turkish giants want to sign the player on loan for the season.
